The Consensus Oracle is a foundational component of O.LAB's decentralized truth machine, designed to record verifiable truths and data claims on-chain with integrity and trust. It operates as an efficient and secure mechanism for resolving data requests and disputes, ensuring that the information shared within the network is accurate and reliable.

How It Works

Data Request Initiation

• A data requester specifies a bond and a reward for the desired data.

• Unlike platforms with fixed bonds and rewards, we offer flexible combinations based on the collateral size involved in the prediction markets.

Optimistic Data Proposal

• Any participant can propose the required data by posting the specified bond.

• If no one challenges the proposal within a predefined challenge period (liveness window), the data is accepted optimistically as correct.

Dispute Resolution via voting process

• If the proposed data is disputed within the liveness window by a participant with staked tokens, the dispute is escalated to the voting process for resolution.
