1.3 Our Thesis

Satoshi Nakamoto’s vision for Bitcoin was to create a financial system that worked for everyone—one where individuals didn’t need banks or intermediaries to access and control their assets. However, despite progress in crypto, significant limitations remain. Access to global markets is restricted by geography, regulation, and market structures that exclude people from the opportunities they deserve. Even decentralized exchanges face technical and liquidity constraints that limit the types of assets that can be effectively traded.

Platforms like TikTok, Uniswap, and Pump.fun have shown that when people have the freedom to create and participate, innovation flourishes. TikTok proved that you don’t need a studio to create impactful content—anyone with a phone can generate value. Uniswap made finance permissionless, allowing anyone to create and trade tokens. Pump.fun empowered users to create and trade meme coins, proving that when markets are open, vibrant ecosystems emerge.

Opinion Labs takes this democratization further. We enable anyone to create a market based on an idea, prediction, or insight about the future. Whether it’s forecasting political outcomes, betting on interest rates, or trading cultural trends or sports events, our infrastructure transforms ideas into tradable assets—allowing everyone to participate in the future of markets.
